MY APPROACH

MY BACKGROUND

My background is rooted in crisis work and medical advocacy for survivors of sexual violence, where I saw firsthand how much long-term emotional abuse can impact our sense of self. I'm passionate about helping people reclaim their power and find healing from these experiences.

Beyond trauma work, I also have a special place in my heart for the neurodivergent community and have experience in hospice care. I earned my MSW from Smith College and now call Portland, Oregon home.

MY PERSPECTIVE

I believe our relationships are fundamental to our understanding of ourselves and the world. We are wired for connection, and sometimes, to maintain those bonds, we learn to suppress our true selves—to be smaller, quieter, or more compliant.

The path to living authentically often means turning toward the parts of ourselves we've learned to hide. My perspective is that by safely and deeply feeling our most painful emotions, we can free ourselves from their hold, allowing us to connect with ourselves and others in a more genuine way.

MY MODALITIES

My therapeutic approach is primarily rooted in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), which focuses on accessing and transforming deep emotional experiences to help you feel more whole. I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you connect with the different "parts" of yourself. While our work is deeply centered on emotional processing, we may also incorporate concrete skills or creative expression when it feels right. Rather than giving advice, my goal is to help you connect with your inner wisdom, empowering the parts of you that already know what is best for your life.

OUTPATIENT SERVICES

I offer outpatient therapy services with sessions typically lasting 55 minutes on a weekly basis. As a solo practitioner, I am not able to provide crisis services, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), or after-hours support. However, I do keep my schedule flexible to accommodate additional sessions when needed. I am also experienced in collaborating with clients who are transitioning from higher levels of care and are ready for a lower-intensity setting. Your safety and well-being are my priority, and I will always provide you with a list of resources for crisis support and after-hours care should you need them.
